Our Lady of Hope Parish Christians Mothers welcomes all women of Nativity, St Gabriel, St Germaine and St Valentine Churches. Any woman age 18+(single or married) may join. We begin this year as a “New” organization. We have our new certificate and new start date with the new name of Our Lady of Hope Christian Mothers, authorized through the diocese and the Archconfraternity.
The Christian Mothers have a very long history, originating in the 1800’s. It was founded with the main purpose of praying for the children. As we begin our new year, we will be encouraging women to pray for not only their own children but their grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and school children.
If you so desire, you are welcome to work with any of our committees, such as shut-ins, Baptismal cards, crosses and robes, social and a few others. Beside our prayerful purpose and good works, we also, promote fellowship and a strong support for one another through our social activities and fundraisers, which benefit our parish.
There will be fun events throughout the year that always encourage and foster lifelong friendships.
Save the date! The first meeting of Our Lady of Hope Christian Mothers will be Tuesday, September 7th. We will begin the evening with a Mass at St. Gabriel Church at 6:30 PM followed by a Social in the hall.
Please come to our uplifting meetings. Women age 62 and over are free but still need to register. There is $5 dues donation for women under 62.
